SpaceMusic

What it is

SpaceMusic is a real-time visual musical instrument. Play MIDI, audio or sensor data into it and it draws 3D forms live, like a synthesizer that outputs visuals instead of sound. The results can be exported for 3D printing, CNC or Rhino (docs.spacemusic.tv).

For us: SpaceMusic is the studio’s main product. Jan Henrik had the idea and designs it, Armin programs it, with Tebjan on the vvvv side. It is made of several parts (Core, Host, Installer, Pro UI, Mobile UI, Library, Streamer, Worker, DNA tools, Licensing, Server), each with its own Card.

How to start

1. Download the latest installer from the Releases tab of api.spacemusic.tv (see API gateway, admin console and User Portal).
2. Run it. It installs the Host and the prerequisites; the Host then keeps itself and the core up to date.
3. To control it, open ui.spacemusic.tv/lobby, connect there, then pick the UI (SpaceMusic Pro UI).
