Trotec SP500

What it is

The Trotec SP500 is a large-format CO2 laser cutter that cuts and engraves sheet materials such as wood, acrylic and cardboard. The working area of this machine class is about 1,245 x 710 mm (troteclaser.com).

For us: It is the studio’s laser cutter, bought in 2018 and kept in the garage. It is driven by the Laser PC, Laser PC, and uses extraction (Trotec Vent 500) and an air compressor (Laser air compressor). The laser presets (material settings) live on the Laser PC, not in Dropbox. An emergency switch (myStrom) exists.
